Today, after breakfast, you will collect your lunch box at the lodge and depart for Tarangire National Park. This park is known for the large amount of migratory movement within the greater Tarangire ecosystem. The park runs along the Tarangire River and is mainly composed of low-lying hills on the valley floor. Its natural vegetation consists mainly of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, as well as large swamp areas. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be provided at a lodge or hotel.

After picking up your breakfast and lunch boxes at the lodge, you will depart for Lake Manyara National Park. This park is one of Tanzania’s most spectacularly situated wildlife areas, known for its impressive attractions such as tree-climbing lions, elephants, and hippos that can be seen up close compared to other places. The park is also serene and lovely. Lake Manyara is an alkaline lake that is home to thousands of flamingos and a variety of other birds during specific times of the year. Dinner and accommodation will be provided at an inn or hotel.

After breakfast, we will head towards the Serengeti National Park, leaving the highlands behind. As we descend into the heart of wild Africa, the Serengeti National Park welcomes us with its endless plains rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We will head to the Lobo area, which is located just north of the Seronera area in the central Serengeti National Park. Every year, around July/August, the wildebeest migration passes through the Lobo area en-route to Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve, and again in late October/November en-route to the southern Serengeti National Park. After arriving in time for lunch, we will enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be provided at a tented camp.

After breakfast, we will enjoy a full day game drive in the Serengeti National Park. The Lobo area and Grumeti River region are known for having good resident game throughout the year. Non-migrating animals such as elephants, buffaloes, gazelles, zebras, lions, leopards, and cheetahs can be seen here all year round. The game viewing is excellent, and you can follow the animals for long periods without seeing other vehicles. This truly is one of the forgotten corners of the Serengeti Plains. Magnificent riverine trees can be found along the river lines, and birdlife such as kingfishers and fish eagles can be spotted here. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be provided at a tented camp.

After breakfast, we will head towards the far northern reaches of the Serengeti National Park, also known as the Wagakuria. We will do a game drive en-route from the Lobo area to the Wagakuria area. As we head north, we can often see good sightings of giraffes, plains game, herds of buffalo, and elephants. We will arrive in time for lunch at the lodge, and after lunch, we will enjoy an afternoon game drive in the area. The wildebeest migration can normally be found in the Wagakuria area from August to October, depending on rainfall patterns. A long stretch of the Mara River runs through the northern Serengeti National Park, and the Mara River provides the migration with its most difficult obstacle. Witnessing this migration is a breathtaking experience. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be provided at the lodge.

After breakfast and collecting lunch boxes, we will descend into this magnificent crater for a game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, covering 8,300 square kilometers, and is arguably one of the most stunning arenas for wildlife viewing. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be provided at a lodge or hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will prepare for your transfer to the airport for your flight.
